The Masai Mara is characterised by broad grasslands, river systems and acacia-dotted plains. Lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and several antelope species are regularly associated with the ecosystem, while cheetah and leopard sightings depend on natural movement and conditions on the day. The Great Migration is seasonal, and no specific crossing or wildlife event can be guaranteed.
Lake Nakuru National Park brings a different landscape of lake shore, woodland, grassland and escarpment scenery.
